THE COMPANY:
Bridgestone is an international manufacturer with 38 production facilities throughout the Americas. The Nashville, Tennessee-based company was formed in 1990 when Bridgestone U.S.A. merged with The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. The company began with the establishment of The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in 1900. It was then that 31-year-old Harvey S. Firestone started tire production with 12 employees in Akron, Ohio.
MY WORK:
This is a two page layout that I created to be used in various periodicals (The illustration of the F1 car is my own work). As you may know, Bridgestone is the official tire of Ferrari Formula One. Coincidentally, one of Ferrari's drivers is Brazilian by birth. So the company wanted to run a series of ads 'subtly linking' their standard tire line to the national celebrity.
